"California" Dreaming in DC on a Friday Night

This past Friday night, my sister and I joined a few lovely ladies for my friend and fellow creative, Jennifer Lee of Artizen Coaching a for an evening of creativity and intuitive visioning in a Dream Box workshop.  We were hosted by Kimberly Wilson at "chez moi", her adorable "Pink Palace" in Dupont Circle.

Jennifer, who is based in Oakland, California (uh, the California part in this story, LOL!) led us on a fun and unique workshop that essentially had us focus on our goals/dreams and create a wonderful little vision box that reflected it.   We started with a guided visualization to get in touch with our "creative muse" and then focused on decoupaging our dream boxes with the variety of magazines available.  Modge Podge, scissors and laughter filled the place. 

And of course, one of Kimberly's cats, Bronnard, kept us entertained either by sitting in the middle of the collage materials or challenging some of us to staring contests!

It was a pleasure to see Jennifer and Kimberly in person again since my sojourn to the Hip Tranquil Chick Retreat last March.  I also had the opportunity to meet another creative coach, Ana Ottman of Creatiutive Coaching!

All in all, a wonderful way to start the weekend with great company!
